the GFDA (Good Future Design Alliance)— is an alliance of architects, builders, interior designers, makers, manufacturers, and landscapers uniting to reduce their waste by 50 percent by 2025. The member's toolkit includes an approved vendor list, low-waste project checklists, a database of redistribution contacts, client-education resources, and member-exclusive educational events. GFDA now has nearly 200 firms and manufacturers on its roster, and for its next phase, is looking to develop local chapters with resources tailored to specific regions. The organization currently has chapters in San Francisco and Denver and will be expanding to Minneapolis, Seattle, and Nashville, Tennessee, this year.
